Custom stair runner installation

Any carpet becomes a stair runner. I cut it to your staircase, bind the edges so they never fray, and wrap every step Hollywood-style — tight to the nose, not floating over it. Most installers don't offer this. It's one of my favorite jobs.

Common questions

How much does a stair runner cost?
Install runs $4 per linear foot of step width with a $12 per step minimum — a standard 13-step staircase lands around $156 in labor. Add the carpet your staircase needs, edge binding from $3.95/LF, and optional felt pad at $0.85/SF. Text me your step count and I'll give you a real number same day, tax included.
Can you use any carpet for a runner?
Yes. Any carpet in my samples — or carpet you supply — can be cut and bound into a runner. Patterned, solid, wool-look, loop: if it can be bound, it can run your stairs.
What is a Hollywood-style stair runner?
The runner is wrapped tightly around the nose of each step and secured underneath, so it follows the stair's shape instead of waterfalling loosely over it. It looks tailored and wears better because there's no loose material to catch a heel.
Do you install stair runners across Hamilton County?
Yes — Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville, McCordsville, and the Indianapolis metro. Based in Noblesville, on the road all over Indiana.
