Why carpet ripples — and why it's fixable

Ripples mean bad install, not bad carpet. Wrinkles show up when carpet was knee-kicked instead of power-stretched. The carpet is usually fine — it just needs to be stretched the way it should have been on day one.
Power stretcher, every time. I restretch with a power stretcher wall to wall, the same tool I use on every new install. Done right, the floor stays flat for years — not months.
Patches that disappear. Pet damage, burns, and tears get cut out and replaced with matching carpet, blended into the pile. Most people can't find the patch a week later.
Odor sealed at the source. Pet accidents that soaked through get the subfloor sealed with a shellac-based blocker before anything goes back down — so the smell doesn't come back.

My carpet has ripples. Do I need new carpet?
Almost never. Ripples mean the carpet was knee-kicked instead of power-stretched when it went in — the fix is a restretch, $150 for the first room, usually done in about an hour. Text me a photo and I'll confirm before you spend a dime.
Can pet damage be repaired without replacing the carpet?
Usually, yes. Chewed corners, digging spots, and stains get patched with matching carpet from $125, and if urine soaked into the subfloor I seal it with a shellac-based odor blocker so the smell is gone for good — not masked.
How much does carpet restretching cost?
$150 for the first room (up to roughly 250 SF), $75 for each additional room on the same trip, and $60 for hallways. Berber and loop styles run about 20% more. The $150 trip minimum covers the visit.
